Catalina Silva

Course Leader

Hola, I’m Catalina and I’m from Bogota, Colombia. I moved to the UK in 2009 and since then I have always worked with children. I have been a primary teacher since 2015 and what I find exciting is the unique and spontaneous way in which children learn. I love forming relationships with them and seeing how they all develop at different stages. There's something particularly special about teaching children because it's such an important job that sets a child up for success in life.
Our Spanish classes are always engaging and they are set up so that children can progress at their own pace. We offer lots of vocabulary games and activities that children love, as well as plenty of songs and craft projects to engage them in.

Sara Ponce

Course Administrator

I am Sara and I am originally from Madrid, Spain. There, I grew up and started developing my career as a teacher, after finishing my degree in Education. I worked in Madrid for several years as a teacher coordinator before moving to the UK, where for the last 4 years I have been doing what I love the most: teaching in the Early Years. Currently, I am working in a Primary school where I have the chance to develop myself, enhancing little ones’ skills and keeping them busy learning.
I consider myself a creative, spontaneous, passionate, and determined person. My pillars are my family and friends, with whom I enjoy going out, enjoying a nice tapa and a glass of wine and spending unique time with them. What I love the most about my job is the kids' essence, I learn from them every day.

During the last ten years, I have had extensive experience working for toddlers, pre-school, and primary schools in Bogota and London. When teaching Spanish, I love helping children to develop their skills in class with innovative, creative, and dynamic strategies to allow them learning the language in the funniest way.
